Our Mission
We are investing upstream, in our 100% owned mining project – Georgia Lake – in Canada, as well as investing downstream in high-tech lithium refineries (“Converters”) in North America and EMEA. Producing battery-grade lithium in the vicinity of our customers guarantees supply-chain transparency and just-in-time delivery.
Our refining project in Brandenburg, Germany – Guben Converter – is expected to go into production at the end of 2026.
Our second refinery will be developed in Ontario, Canada – Red Rock Converter – and is expected to go into production in 2028.
“Whoever secures the technological leadership in the processing of lithium and understands its reuse via recycling will determine the market.”
Dirk Harbecke
Chairman of the Board
Innovation & Strategy
We will use proven and tested production processes in our Converters to ensure quick time-to-market and mitigate project execution risk. We aim to become an industry-leading lithium supplier with envisioned production capacities up to 120,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent per year and a local market share of up to 30%.
We plan to source raw material from our own mineral project in Canada, the Georgia Lake Project, as well as procuring it from responsibly producing mines. In the years to come we will extract material from discarded batteries.
By holding ourselves accountable to the highest standards, we strive to preserve the world we live in. Building our way to becoming a closed-loop lithium company, using and reusing lithium for a cleaner future.
Who we are
To close the most pressing gap in the clean mobility story, Rock Tech has gathered a strong and highly experienced team. We hold ourselves accountable to strict ESG standards and are developing a proprietary refining process to further increase efficiency and sustainability.
